About the role

As an Electrical Fitter, you will join our Underground Team to provide network repairs, maintenance and construction services for WEL’s network.

Duties

  • HV and LV Switching and commissioning of HV equipment

  • Substation equipment installations and operation, maintenance and repair of generic 11kv switchgear

  • Planning and coordinating site activities and ensuring all relevant paperwork is complete.

  • Participating in a callout roster for 24hr fault response and repair.

  • Liaising with the control centre, dispatch and operations staff, and other utilities/authorities

Skills and experience

  • Proven technical knowledge

  • Current electrical registration

  • Ability and experience to work independently and unsupervised

  • Demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to workplace health and safety
